AWS IoT or Azure IoT?
AWS IoT for: strong Lambda/serverless integration, lower prices, greater maturity. Azure IoT for: Microsoft environments, Azure Sphere for secure hardware, Windows IoT Enterprise. Google Cloud IoT has been discontinued. For new IoT projects we recommend AWS IoT Core.
What does AWS IoT Core cost?
Messaging: $1 per million messages (the first 250K a month are free). Connectivity: $0.08 per device per month for actively connected devices. Rules Engine: $0.15 per million executions. For 1,000 devices sending every 10 minutes: around $50 a month.
